I like to play bass with a primary focus on lead and being the driving melody of the song. I feel is what can make my music unique as it still blends well with a lot of my favourite music despite being quite different. My key inspiration behind this sound is Cliff Burton from Metallica who has been my musical hero since I was 14, because of his drive to play bass in a way that steers it away from just being a rhythm instrument.
I believe the genre that has definitely shaped me the most is that of Heavy Metal and its many subgenres. My favourites to write being: Black,Doom,Classic and industrial. I think what intrigues me the most about metal is the diversity of inspirations and variables people add to make it their own, as well as how easy it is to fit other genre conventions into it. So most of my work will likely be in the genre of metal, or at least have been heavily inspired by the genre.
